How pricing works
Credits are NSG UP42's currency: 100 credits = $1.00
The NSG UP42 Professional plan uses a pay-as-you-go model. All purchases are made in US dollars.

The cost of geospatial data varies depending on the characteristics of your order. NSG UP42 provides pricing estimates before purchase, helping you compare options and choose the right balance between cost, coverage, and level of detail.
Area of interest (AOI)
The size of your area of interest is one of the primary factors affecting pricing. Larger areas typically require more imagery and therefore result in higher costs.
Pricing for most data products is based on the area being covered, measured in square kilometres.
Spatial resolution
Higher resolution imagery provides greater detail, while lower-resolution products can often meet broader monitoring and mapping needs at a lower cost.
The level of detail required by your application directly influences the price of the data.
Data provider and collection
NSG UP42 offers access to a wide range of providers and collections, each with different characteristics, coverage, revisit rates, and pricing models.
Multiple providers may be suitable for the same project, allowing you to compare options and select the best fit for your requirements and budget.
Acquisition mode (tasking)
For tasking orders, different acquisition modes offer different levels of detail and analytical value.
Advanced acquisition modes, such as stereo or specialized SAR collection modes, provide additional information but may come at a higher cost.
Tasking priority
Tasking requests can be optimized for speed or cost depending on project requirements.
Higher-priority acquisitions are programmed sooner and may carry a premium compared to standard tasking requests for broader acquisition time windows.
Cloud coverage requirements
For optical imagery, cloud coverage requirements can affect acquisition complexity and availability.
More restrictive cloud coverage requirements may reduce the number of suitable acquisition opportunities and impact pricing.

All purchases on the NSG UP42 platform are made with credits. 100 credits equal $1.
To add credits to your account, you’ll first need to add your tax information and credit card details to your account within the NSG UP42 platform. You’ll find full instructions on how to do this here. The minimum purchase amount is 10,000 credits ($100).
Yes. If you purchase 1,000,000 or more credits at a time, NSG UP42 provides 5% bonus credits free of charge. For larger commitments, we also offer general and supplier-specific discounts.
Credits expire 24 months after purchase. The system uses the “first-in, first-out” principle, so credits with the earliest allocation date are always used first.
If you’re purchasing credits for the first time, we’ll need to do a compliance check. This verifies your identity to avoid potential risks and to meet the terms and conditions set by our partners.
The check is usually pretty fast: if it’s been over 24 hours since your purchase and you still don’t see your credits, please reach out to our support team.
